The nugg features a strong pepper-forward flavor that is heavy enough to cut through when paired with any (or every!) dipping sauce at Sonic. The chicken is close enough to being juicy that we’ll call it “juicy-adjacent,” and the batter holds its crispiness even after being dunked in sauce. “Jumbo Popcorn Chicken” sounds like it’s going to taste like bad fair food, but this really isn’t that bad and we’d say it’s a significant step up from the entry that came before.
